You may download and complete the permit application from the website or contact Neighborhood Services to get a building permit. Once a permit application is completed, return it to the Neighborhood Services Office with the complete set of plans and payment for the permit and inspections.
Inspection requests can be made by contacting Neighborhood Services. Depending on the type of permit issued, an owner or general contractor can request inspections. Inspections involving public safety get priority over others.
The City of Atoka has adopted the International Codes Council code series for building construction and trade work.
In most cases, violators are given information that a public nuisance exists on their property and provided with a timeframe to correct the issue. If the issue is not corrected, a process begins that allows the city to correct the issue and assess costs as a tax lien on the property. In certain cases, Municipal Court citations can be issued for each day a violation continues.

The Police Department is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Payments can be made with cash, cashier’s check, or money order. Pay by mail - If you pay by mail, enclose a copy of your citation. Make your money order or cashier’s check payable to the Atoka Police Department. Do not mail cash. Pay online- You may pay your citation online at www.trafficpayment.com. You will need the citation # and the amount due to pay online.
