City Treasurer

The City Treasurer is an officer within the department of finance, appointed by the City Manager for an indefinite term. The treasurer is responsible for depositing city funds in designated depositories, following regulations set by the City Council. In some cases, the same person may serve as both City Clerk and City Treasurer, or the City Clerk may serve ex officio as City Treasurer. The City Treasurer’s duties are further defined by the city’s charter, applicable laws, or ordinances.
